Easily broken, needlessly complex, August 14, 2010

Took me over an hour to assemble the first time (though I'm admittedly challenged in this area). Subsequent setups go faster but you won't get much life out this before the plastic parts start breaking. I guess $20 for a few days of fun over the summer is not that bad of a deal, but spend a little more and get something that will last. Not what you expect from Eddie Bauer.

I bought this on sale at Target and couldn't believe it was only $19.95.
Now I believe it.

I'm trying to follow the badly worded instructions, and it's not possible. One pvc pole comes with another inside of it. At one point you are instructed to slide the "upper pole" up from the middle pole until it locks into place. Okay. Did that. Later, you are told you slide the bottom pole down from the middle pole until it locks into place. There are NOT two poles in the middle pole, so the ONE inside, must slide up to be the top, or slide down to be the bottom, but it CAN'T be both.

Other instructions are just not sensible or understandable and there is only one image for guidance and no finished product image to help any.

I've seen reviews elsewhere from people who paid $50 for this and also complained about the difficulty in assembling it, and the cheapness of the components that broke upon first use.
